It was all worth it because the Blue Ridge Mountains looked fabulous in the background, and all of the fall colors in the flowers and outfits just popped against the vineyard. Plus I absolutely adore Stone Tower Winery and photographing weddings there!!! Danielle and Ben started dating in 2012 and after a surprise Boone Hall Plantation proposal (seriously, the most BEAUTIFUL plantation in Charleston!!!), the two began planning their wedding day. Outdoor receptions are rare in the Washington, DC / Northern Virginia area due to the uncertainty with weather, so it was a treat to get to photograph a bit of the reception in natural light! And, as an added bonus, it made the entire atmosphere safer for their guests and attendees.This fall Stone Tower Winery wedding day is one of my favorites! I absolutely love Danielle and Ben and their wedding day was just so beautiful. It truly was such a lovely day that we were able to even enjoy their entire reception - dinner, events, and dancing - outdoors. They were able to move forward with the celebration this September and honestly? The day was nothing short of perfect! For what it’s worth, their May date was freezing and their August date was sweltering, so I think they made the right call all around! Like so many others this year, the big day was ultimately delayed due to COVID concerns. It was our first time at Stone Tower Winery and we absolutely fell in love with this charming wedding venue with the sweeping views of the vineyard for an. It’s lucky I waited to write this blog post until after the wedding, or I would’ve had to re-write that sentence two other times! See, third time was a charm for this sweet couple, whose wedding was originally scheduled for this past spring. Theresa and returned to Stone Tower to celebrate with all our family and friends. Sarah and Mike were married this fall in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Stone Tower Winery in Leesburg, VA.
